The path to self-love leads straight to heaven on earth. Along the way you’ll discover what feels good and begin to allow more of that in your life. Pay attention to your body, mind, heart and spirit for guidance on loving your whole self and feeling your best.

ACTION STEPS

Self-love is equivalent to feeling good. It’s helpful to know how to activate your natural pharmacy of happiness hormones and chemicals. Endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin can all be produced by you. Discover all the ways to feel good physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  

Discover what feels good for your body and do more of that. When your body is in pain, you have access to relief from within. You can release endorphins, a natural pain killer, with vigorous exercise, dancing and laughter. Even a little dark chocolate will activate this chemical as a way to love yourself.

Discover what feels good for your mind and focus on that. If you need to get motivated, dopamine is the chemical for that. Ways to stimulate its production are with gratitude, self-care, listening to music, and completing a task. You also get a dopamine hit when you love what you do and celebrate a job well done.

Discover what feels good for your heart and be more open to that.To get into a good mood, a dose of serotonin is as close as your next breath. This chemical gets released during meditation, yoga, sunbathing, and exercise. Running and deep breathing are two effective ways to produce serotonin and uplift yourself with self-care. The better you feel, the better you love yourself and others.

Discover what feels good for your spirit and allow more of that. Feeling love and connection depends on the production of oxytocin. This love hormone is released while hugging, playing with a dog, holding hands, and being of service. It’s the bonding chemical that gets activated in healthy relationships and occurs naturally between mother and baby. Activate daily for a dose of self-love.

Discover the foods that make you feel good. You can boost your serotonin levels with nuts and seeds. Bananas, avocados and almonds increase dopamine. Eat dark chocolate (cacao) and spicy foods to produce endorphins. Oxytocin can be found in mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and peppers. Bring them all together to create a self-love diet.

Discover the life that feels good. Loving yourself is the way to feeling good, and feeling your best is an act of self-love. Get in the habit of turning on the natural hormones and chemicals that support you in being the best version of yourself. This is how you can Live On Vital Energy = LOVE.
